Overview
Surfistas is a space built specifically for girls and young women in Lambert's Bay, one where confidence, self-esteem, and leadership get built through surf therapy and mentorship, without the social pressures that so often show up elsewhere. It exists because gender inequality shows up early, and because a girls-only space changes what kids feel safe trying.
Why This Program Exists
In a traditionally male-dominated environment, girls often hold back before they've had the chance to find out what they're capable of. Surfistas directly addresses that by creating a supportive space where self-esteem, decision-making, and leadership aspirations can develop without having to compete for room.
