What does Project Sunwave do?

We run ocean-based youth development programmes in Lambert's Bay, integrating water safety, surf and swim skills, literacy support, leadership development, and environmental education, built around The Project Sunwave Model™.

02

What programs do you run?

Seven, spanning every age from 6 upward: Rockpool Club, Turning Tides, Vonk, Golwe, Surfistas, PRO, and Sunshine Edu. Each one is built around real, tracked outcomes. See Our Programs for the full list.

03

How can I volunteer?

You can volunteer with us directly in Lambert's Bay, or support remotely as a back-office team member from anywhere in the world. Contact us to find out more.

04

Where does my donation go?

Every donation funds a specific program: water safety instruction, literacy support, leadership development, or one of our other six programmes. We publish real, verifiable numbers on our Facts & Figures page, not vague promises.

05

How do you measure success?

Through our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework: attendance registers, baseline and endline assessments, and coach observation logs. tracked separately for every program, every season.

06

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Not yet. Our PBO (Public Benefit Organisation) application is currently in progress with SARS. Once approved, donations will qualify for Section 18A tax deductibility. We'll update this page the moment that changes, rather than claim it early.
