Sunshine Program
Objectives: decrease school dropouts and develop soft skills
What: An Academic & Literacy Support Program
Weekdays 9 AM until 1 PM
The Sunshine Program is an academic and literacy support program, designed to support students often overlooked by the school system. Children with learning disabilities or special needs often lack the necessary support, contributing to high dropout rates. The Sunshine Program is there for those who would otherwise be unable to finish their schooling.

Assessment Module: Each child begins with a thorough assessment by a counselor to understand their individual needs, challenges, and strengths. This helps determine the most appropriate grade placement and the type of support they require, ensuring they receive personalized guidance on their educational journey.
Online Learning Module: This module provides a personalised, online curriculum tailored to each student’s unique learning needs. Whether they’re dealing with learning disabilities or are starting at an illiterate level, this module offers flexible, accessible learning paths that empower students to progress at their own pace, ensuring they stay on track toward academic success.
Skills Development Module: Focused on practical and life skills, this module includes activities designed to build confidence, problem-solving abilities, and social-emotional skills. By nurturing essential skills alongside academics, students gain a well-rounded foundation that helps them thrive in both school and beyond.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Module: This module helps students build emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and healthy relationship skills. Through guided activities, discussions, and reflection, students learn to manage their emotions, set goals, develop resilience, and improve their social interactions, all of which are key to their overall success in later life.
